What renewal does for everyday people in Los Angeles.
Meet our pastors.
Jon and Erica Campbell got married in April 2015 and welcomed their first daughter, Avonlea, into the world in December 2022. As co-laborers for the gospel, their burden is to make disciples who follow Jesus resiliently and fruitfully in post-Christian contexts. In L.A., they’re serving as U.S. missionary church planters.
Jon holds an M.Div. from Regent University. Erica holds an M.A. in Urban Ministry & Global Transformation from Southwestern Christian University. Both are ordained missionaries and ministers with the International Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Beliefs
Above all, we’re gospel centered, Spirit led, and biblically grounded. While we come from a Pentecostal faith tradition within evangelical Christianity, we strive for healthy balance in our theology and worship. We’re passionate, but not wild. Rooted, but not rote. Modern, without neglecting the ancient. In all things, we desire Christ to be magnified and made known.
-
We believe in one eternal God who is powerful, wise, and good, creator and sustainer of everything seen and unseen. Within this Godhead, there are three equally holy, just, wise, powerful, and dignified persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
-
We believe that the Son, who is the Word of God, became human through the virgin Mary. In him, the divine and human natures are united without separation, forming one person, Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully human. He suffered, was crucified, died, and was buried to reconcile us to the Father and atone for both our actual sins and original sin.
-
We believe that the Holy Spirit comes from the Father and the Son, sharing the same essence, greatness, and glory with them, as the very and eternal God.
-
We believe that the Bible, consisting of sixty-six books divided into the Old and New Testaments, is fully inspired by God. It serves as the complete revelation of God's plan and the history of redemption.
-
We believe that Christ rose from the dead, taking his body with all the qualities of human nature, and ascended into heaven. He now sits there until he returns to judge all people on the last day.
-
We believe that believers can receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit as evidenced in the book of Acts. We also believe the gift of the Holy Spirit should be active and ongoing in the lives of believers. (Luke 11:13; Acts 1:5; 2:1-4; 8:17; 10:44-46; 19:6).
-
We believe every believer should dedicate their life to fulfilling the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20; Acts 1:8).
-
We believe that Jesus Christ will, personally, come again (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; Titus 2:13; 2 Peter 3:10-14; Matthew 24:29-44).
-
We believe that those who surrender to Jesus Christ and receive Him will receive eternal life with God in heaven as their reward, while those who persistently choose wickedness will face everlasting separation from God and suffer in what scripture defines as “Hell”. (Matthew 25:46; Psalm 9:17; Revelation 21:7, 8).

-
We believe, teach, and firmly hold the scriptural truth that we are justified solely by faith. (Romans 5:1). We believe Jesus Christ's blood cleanses justified believers completely from all sin that remains after they are born again. (1 John 1:7-9).
-
We believe in sanctification, which is positional and practical. When we are born again, we’re positionally and spiritually sanctified (set apart) (Acts 26:18; 1 John 1:9). Sanctification is practically lived out by the continual growth in grace and understanding of Jesus Christ throughout our lives. (2 Corinthians 4:16; 2 Peter 3:18).
-
We believe in divine healing, just as it was part of the atonement. (Isaiah 53:4, 5; Matthew 8:16, 17; Mark 16:14-18; James 5:14-16; Exodus 15:26).
IPHC
We happily belong to the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (our denomination), but we’re also home to disciples of Jesus who represent a variety of church backgrounds and theological traditions.
Partners
We gladly partner with our denomination and the capital “C” church. We couldn’t do this without our partners. The following have had a significant role in investing financially and/or providing training and leadership development. We also have a number of churches and individuals across the US who have given financially to the church planting needs of GLCC.
